This is perhaps a common issue as I too have found my N810 to run out of juice much sooner than before.

Edit: issue with Windows 7 Media Server settings solved.

I liked Cara 1 but wasn't sure it was better than 3.1.17 that I was using. I just took the plunge and updated to the new beta. First impressions are good 8)

Some of the guys on our Dutch Hifi forum made quite a study of this. If you can get under 2 ohm, you are doing OK I think :D

Just flashed again. Linn config says the update is succesfull, but the familily is still unknown....strange....

I did the update and all appears to have gone well. I am now on cara 1(3.1.25). Funny enough in the update tab I can stil see Cara 1 as available update after I closed and reopened the Linn config. Yep, they must have been busy updating the stuff. I now get a prompt to go to 3.1.26 so I should be able to to do the update now!

I also upgraded to the Dynamik power supply today. I should schedule some serious listening time 8)

I was going for the update. I was prompted to update my Linn config first. I did so and wanted to go to 3.1.25 but now the updates are no longer listed under the update tab???? Any suggestions on what I did wrong? Should I have updated to 3.1.25 before updating the Linn config app? If so, can anyone...

I only just saw it a minute before you posted. I am going to wait a few days. I am going to audition the new Dynamik power supply tomorrow and if all goes well, it will be installed on the spot.

I am still on 3.1.17 and quite like it.

I just installed Cara 3.1.17 on my ADS and I like it so far. I too found Bute 0.9 hard on the ears (got tired quickly and wanted to lower the volume). Neil Young (Live at Massey Hall) is again sounding as he should :)

As a user I can tell you I love it :D
There is the occasional error message if I leave the app open without using it for some time, but in general use it is spot on.....and no gaps!!!!!

Sommerfee, I tried loading a saved playlist but it didn't play. I could see the loaded playlist on the playlist overview page, but at the now playing screen I only got the message 'end of playlist'. If you have the DS network connected to the Net, you can upgrade using the Linn config SW. If not (as me) you need the SW as a file. Contact your dealer. Ah got it! I needed to upgrade to the latest linnconfig version in order to get the internet upgrade to work, but I am now on 1.1-06 Thanks! Lenn...

Can anyone point me in the right direction to find the 1.1-06 Bute SW for my Linn Akurate. The Linnconfig is telling me the update is available, but I dont have the SW.

Better safe than sorry, so I reflashed the Akurate using the new linnconfig.

I played a couple of albums and I also thought I found a pattern (the playlist stopped twice at the same song). If I start the playlist at that specific song it also plays through to the end. Spooky.... :shock:

Please observe the Akurate display. I will watch it like a hawk.....may do a little listening while I am at it.... :D The N810 sends a playlist to the Akurate one by one, so if the player stops one might assume the n810 is to blame (it didn't trigger the next song), but since I updated the akurate ...

Was it the DS that stopped or the controller? How would I tell the difference? Twice it happened at the end of a song. I didn't use any other controls or remotes at the time. The next song was not playing on the N810 (time was not running). Perhaps a glitch in the wireless network or something? Len...

Perhaps a coincidence, perhaps not, but during my morning Akurate session, twice the playlist was interrupted. Several songs in a row played just fine, but the next song in the playlist didn't start. When I press play on my N810 controler the next song starts and all is well again. Odd....

I actually read your warning and still messed up :oops: Apparantly no harm done though, the 'old' linnconfig flashed the akurate ok with the new sw. The akurate is playing as we speak and Eva Cassidy, Madeleine Peyroux and Neil Young have never sounded better! The Akurate outperforms my old Esoteric...
