Did you try connecting your Källa to this system instead of the MDSM?
Will be trying that over the weekend also.

Re: Boazu vs Tundra 2.2 (with various preamps)

Good as the WiiM Mini is for the price (€ 107,-), it's still a very basic streamer, that's miles away from a really good one. You might wanna try the Majik DSM just as a streamer (not involving the digital volume) into the Boazu to see what happens. This is exactly what I am doing with the Majik DS...

Re: Superkikkin

I recently tried the Tundra (1.9a) with the SK and Källa and Kan II speakers. WOW!!! The SK makes the Källa really sing. And this was the impression within 10 minutes of listening to the system. The Källa was earlier connected to Audio Research Vsi75 and was already really very very good. I feel the...

Re: Boazu vs Tundra 2.2 (with various preamps)

As zee mentioned I have a similar issue with louder volumes. The system is Tundra+Kikkin+MDSM3+TA CTL 2100 I am going to try taking the Kikkin out of the chain and use the MDSM-3 pre/volume control exactly as Zee had set it up (which is the combination that introduced me to the wonderful world of LJ...

HELP Factory Reset of the Källa (Resolved)

Hi, There was a power outage in our locality and the Källa was powered up. Now I can't locate the Källa, open the control page and it does not show up in my list of connected devices. It is connected to the network as I can see the green light blinking on the lan connection. Also the start up sound ...

Thanks for your comments. One week in and I'm starting to understand what Källa does. Right now two of my kids are lounging in the living room singing along to "Sledgehammer". Källa is playing quietly in the background but somehow it draws us in to participate, by dancing or singing along. Each lis...

Re: Entity MC

Hi, Having installed my newly acquired Källa and Entity (2 gold dots) (Rega P6 with Ania pro) cart last weekend, I didn't listen to my LPs for about a week. I was listening to all my music on the Källa by default. The Entity was powered up all this time. I finally had some time last evening to hear ...

Update: I saw in your other thread that there’s a turntable, an Entity, Kikkin and Tundra in your system. Or at least soon will be. Then I propose the following order for the components in your power strip: Mains power in Kikkin Källa Turntable Entity Tundra That’s five units, are there any more? I...

Re: A Newbie looking for suggestions

Enjoy the Kalla - you’ve started right at the top with your digital source and your reaction on first hearing it must have been priceless. You probably don’t have to do too much at all , but the recommended set up on the Kalla section of the forum keeps on improving the music - hard to believe but ...

Re: A Newbie looking for suggestions

Good to hear you are happy ... but that was expected. The Hakai springwood 64 is referring to is also used as a source instead of the Källa - some would maybe even say that the Hakai development was the first step/approach in later developing the Källa. Please make a picture of yourself when you fi...

Re: A Newbie looking for suggestions

If you travel to Europe, ljknewbie, there are plenty of retailers from which you can order a Superkikkin. Sagatun might be difficult to find in Europe, but it's still available in the US. Re: A Newbie looking for suggestions

Hi and welcome to the forum, 1. I'm convinced the Entity will easily be more musical than the Rega Fono. 2. I don't see any reason, why the AR wouldn't work well with Entity and Källa. In fact, I'm sure you'll be surprised by how good it sounds with those components connected. 3. If you cannot find...

Re: A Newbie looking for suggestions

What would be the best gain setting on the Entity connected to the Rega P6 with Ania Pro MC? The Entity doesn't have gain settings, it's 71db. This should work fine with the Ania Pro's fairly low 0.35mV output. The three loading settings for the Entity are all in the same ballpark, just try them al...
