Got a Unidisk 1.1 and a new Kisto.
Now I recently tried out an Onkyo PR-SC885 processor as well as a Marantz AV-8003, and noticed that none allows the "double bass" feature as the Kisto does.
This copies the bass that's being fed to the normal speakers to the sub.
Anyone?

Sound quality Akurate Kontrol
Hi all,
I want to replace my Kisto with an Akurate Kontrol processor.
The Kisto sounds fine, but is bulky, gets hot and the fan is annoying.
Besides, I never used the video switching.
But- will this be a setback for sacd and cd sound?
Anyone?
Thanks
Barend

Bananas
My favorites are the hollow ones: http://www.lenexpo-electronics.com/1-PAIR-OF-ATLONA-HIGH-END-SPEAKER-BANANA-PLUGS-p-16215.html I have also seen them on Ebay UK and Germany by different suppliers. They have 2 set screws; agree soldering them through would be best but I'm too lazy for that......

Chakra Aktiv Cards removed- gain adjusting still works
This really puzzles me... The Chakra C4200 and C3200 amps (now Akurate), have rotatable gain switches on the back. When I look at the Aktiv boards, I see an array of resistors selected by a switch IC. Still, after using the amps with no Cards, there's still a degree of gain steps discernible. I wond...
Glad
Hi all, Glad the term TUNE DEM was invented, my wife used to ask why I was fiddling with the speakers AGAIN, now I can smartlly reply "I'm performing Tune Dem". That said, I feel repositioning speakers can make a sudden and unexpected difference. The 3K units in my Akurates have a very wide d...

Hi Barend! I've used many big speakers in small rooms (much smaller than yours) and it's NO issue at all! I hear "to big speakers for this small room" all the time. Where is that comming from? Headphones can produce deep bass can't they 8) You're right, my subs produce 25Hz in my listenin...

Artikulates
I've heard 350As in both a 2-channel and 5.1 setup. In both applications they are simply stunning. None of the exaggerated bass that others have reported. They are stunningly revealing and a poor recording, or poor source/control, will be highlighted. Never heard the Artikulates, but they would cer...
