Thanks, Thomas.
Is this the Quadraspire you're referring to?
https://quadraspire.co.uk/wall-brackets/
Do you have access to second examples of your preferred shelves ? if not, how far into 2024 will the wait be for your recreation and what's the approximate price point?

Wall Shelf For Linn LP12 Turntable With Trampolin?
Hey Folks I have a Linn LP12 with the Trampolin. It's been sitting on top of my equipment rack in my apartment (old building with wood floors) and it seems like the vibrations from the speakers are traveling down the speaker stands, up the rack, and back to the speakers through stylus causing the wo...

Re: Linn Akurate Radikal Question
I think I’ll stick with my Shunyata cable and hope my dealer gets a demo or used Akurate Radikal, but thanks for the tips. Much appreciated.

Re: Linn Akurate Radikal Question
Hey Thomas, I'll ask them. I believe they use noise reduction circuitry in the barrel at the component end, but it's worth a shot. You might check and see if Shunyata make a low profile IEC connector for your cable. I know Nordost came out with low profile plugs several years ago in answer to custom...

Re: Linn Akurate Radikal Question
I compared the Akurate to Klimax Radikal and if I were able to use my Shunyata power cable with the Klimax version I might save for that, but the cable end won't fit it. The Akurate Radikal with the Shunyata power cable sounded better to me than the Klimax Radikal with its stock power cable.

Linn Akurate Radikal Question
Do these use a universal power supply (for example, if I bought one from the UK, could I use it in the US without modification, adapters or additional equipment aside from a US power cord)?

Re: LP12 Counterweights For Heavier Cartridges
Hey Fredrik, I agree. I feel (in my admittedly limited experience) that the Karousel is a mixed bag of sorts. What do you feel that the Karousel brings to the table and what do you think it takes away (vs the Cirkus)? Do you have similar feelings about any of the other Linn upgrades (Lingo 4, Radik...

Re: LP12 Counterweights For Heavier Cartridges
You may well be right Thomas. You also use different torque settings based upon the model of sub-chassis installed, yes?

Re: LP12 Counterweights For Heavier Cartridges
Hi Ron, Yes, it's true that the cartridge / SUT "upgrade" would be a leap of faith as well. I've always auditioned my instruments and recording equipment before purchasing so this is all a bit new to me. I wish I could audition the other Linn upgrades independent from each other, especially with som...

Re: LP12 Counterweights For Heavier Cartridges
Thanks for everyone's input thus far. My LP12 spec is as follows: Cirkus bearing and subchassis, Lingo 2, Ittok LVII, Trampolin. I'm using a Benz Wood SH (high output) cartridge. I had a chance to listen blind to a couple of Majik LP12s side by side at a very accommodating dealer for a few hours wit...

Re: LP12 Counterweights For Heavier Cartridges
Hey Thomas, Thanks for your help and sorry for my delay in replying. I guess I'm concerned that with the LP-S the counterweight would end up too far back on the arm, and also that the resonant frequency will be off. Would those not be an issue with the Ruby Z? Am I being paranoid? Also, I don't know...

Re: LP12 Counterweights For Heavier Cartridges
Thanks Thomas. Here are the weight and compliance figures for each cartridge: Gullwing SLR (12g, 15cu) Ruby Z (10.6g, 15cu) LP-S (16g, 15cu) Any of the above that you'd stay away from using either the stock or heavy counterweight on an Ittok LVII? Does the heavier Linn counterweight change the sound...

Re: LP12 Counterweights For Heavier Cartridges
Thanks Thomas. The 3 Benz Micro cartridges I'm looking at are the Gullwing SLR (12.2g), Ruby Z (10.2g) and LP-S (16g). If I purchase that heavier counterweight that you mentioned (EK SE HEAVY CW) would I be able run any of those 3? Would the counterweight be able to sit in the right place on the arm...

LP12 Counterweights For Heavier Cartridges
I'm looking to upgrade my Benz Wood cartridge and stay within the Benz line (running it on an Ittok LVII arm). Unfortunately all of the higher end Benz cartridges weigh between 10.6g and 16g- too heavy for any of the Linn arms (they seem to be specified for cartridges weighing a maximum of 9g). Does...

Linn LP12 Upgrade Questions
Hi, At the moment I'm running an LP12 with the Cirkus bearing and subchassis, a Lingo 2, an Ittok LVII and a Benz Wood SH. It sounds great but of course I can't be satisfied. I'm going to move to a SUT and Benz low output cartridge but am curious regarding Linn upgrades such as the Ekos 2, Ekos SE/1...

Re: Linn T-Kable worth the upgrade
Thanks for everyone's responses. The cable is apparently new. I should have noted that not only was the new tonearm cable installed but the Trampolin was also removed as an experiment at the same time (there is currently no base board on my Linn). Installation and set up was done by a Linn expert in...

Re: Linn T-Kable worth the upgrade
I have a question regarding the burning in of the tonearm cable that may seem rather foolish (coming from the world of professional recording, I am not used to thinking about cable burn in). Do I have to play a record for the tonearm cable to burn in? Is it enough for the cable to be simply connecte...

Re: Linn T-Kable worth the upgrade
Yeah, I'm going to let it run in for a bit and hold on to the older cable in the meantime. When I say that the cable sounds harsh, it's relative. It sounds like people generally feel that the grey T-Kable is an improvement over the older cable (as opposed to the Mogami version which seems to elicit ...

Re: Linn T-Kable worth the upgrade
Hey Folks, I have a Linn LP12 with an Ittok LVII that came with an older Ekos tonearm cable (not the Mogami version that comes with the Ekos SE). Just the other day I had a Grey T-Kable installed and It sounds harsh and two dimensional compared to the old Ekos cable. The grey T-Kable was unused so i...
