Re: Playground for practical listening exercises
Instead of buy all your favorite albums on CD (and have it double), buy AT - VM95C or E (Your LP12 will be as it have to be in proper condition), which is price of 2-3 CD and use rest of money for new music on CD or LP ... Just as idea ... I like to have my favorites on both vinyl and cd. Playing m...

Re: Playground for practical listening exercises
Didn’t realize you were in pickup problems beck. Maybe MM time? My hunt for decent cd replay started as a reaction to the Klyde being discontinued and the lack of will to use a lot of money on cartridges. MM could be a good solution but first I had to try what cd could bring to the party. Now I enj...

Re: Ekos II blow and swing test
almost at peace - I just bought a Jig as I tried to optimize the bounce (only put it on a frame which will soon become my coffee table LP12 support) and made it worst and since there are a lot of parts waiting to be installed I wanted to get used to do it by myself ... and you need the right tools ...

Re: Cheap power strips for best sound.
For me (in my area ... living part of town) the the best time is after 22:00 ... But, however, what ever you test use Tune Method and do it in 1-2 hours ... Do it in whatever part of the day, but do it in short period of time between component "A" and "B" (in this case power strip) ... Conditions fo...

Hi OscarH,
Excellent post.
I'm glad that you set up properly your Rega and enjoy it with great pleasure ...
I go deeper in to my classical (not Jazz) music collection ... in Rachmaninoff, Tchaikovsky, Verdi ... Some how Baroque in this period was and still is on a side ...

Re: 4mm Vs 6mm Radial Power Cable
Just this week, I’ve had a bit of an itch that needed a good scratch. About 12 months ago I had a single 6mm radial installed for the HiFi, but I can’t help but wondering if I did the right thing. In my old house I got great results from a 4mm cable and a friend’s system also sounded very good with...
