Re: Playground for practical listening exercises
I think A is the best. Rythmwise B make a lot of sense but it is a bit more playing the same note over and over.

Re: Speakers more tuneful than Linn
I have only heard them with room correction and only compared to klangedang dingle, both were excellent. But would need to make further comparisons to make a recommendation. But both speakers were very impressive! I'm not a huge fan of room correction and would assume that I would like them even mor...

Re: JBL 308P and 708P
I don't think the 308 plays rhythm very well. Perhaps it is different in the room? I think the music is more enjoyable with both tukans and 104. Where the 308 sounds very detailed and nice but the rhythm not there. For example with the tukans you get a sense of a band playing together. The 308 sound...

Linn Tukan speakers
Very musical and in good condition. They have some marks but nothing that bothers you from a distance. Nice looking American Cherry veneer. It has the latest treble unit SPKR 015/3, which was introduced from 1996.
Price: 400 euro
Location: Gothenburg, Sweden

Higher is higher!!
Lower, again feels a little sad in comparison/band is playing a little sleepy.

998 feels uplifting and more in tune, 997 is a bit depressing.

Re: Karousel
A new outer platter isn't very expensive and worth the improvement by itself when I listened at my dealer.

PlayStation sounds live and the Fudge sounds more like a recording.
I agree that Fudge has a nice groove. But this players seems more happy in Playstation and you can hear them interacting.

I think no 2 is clearly better. No 1 seems more like playing the same notes a the time. The chord changes and melody is much more easily perceived in no 2.

Re: Spotify on Hakai? (wired; headless)
I had wrongly stated Mopidy in another thread but it should be 'spotifyd'.
https://github.com/Spotifyd/spotifyd
I have it setup so that HAKAI appears as a source/player in the Spotify app. Works perfectly!

Re: GIGAPORT HD/HD+
The GIGAPORT eX is Thunderbolt3/USB-C and can carry more juice; that will work great with Macs. Macs can also now play at 24/196. We'll have to wait 6 or 7 weeks to hear how it sounds. From the Gigabit eX specs: USB 3.1 Audio Interface with USB-C connector (different connection cables included) USB...

There’s a new version (Gigaport eX) coming out in late February.
Hope it is good! Exiting times ahead.
Also the Gigaport HD+ can be had really cheap right now.

The M109s is much better. This is what musicality is all about. Red is different sounds all scattered in time, where as M109 is playing music.

A service of the ekos 2 doesn't cost very much, I would have send it in for adjustment, after all it has been around for some good years.

Does anyone got the 53.125 for ADSM?
Since it was a beta it is no longer downloadable.
