Re: Hermanns System

That's correct, they were saved in different folders in the recording device. They now don't have to be downloaded, but can be played directly in the browser. However, if it's irritating, I'll rename it.

Re: Hermanns System

Another decision is pending. Rather small, but no less important for my second system. Naim NAC72/140 fresh from service after over 25 years against a Boazu. The 72/140 has now had over 50 hours of break-in time, which should be enough to carry out the test. A Linn DS serves as the source. The conne...

I found this here, threaded sockets:

Custom products are mentioned below. Although the specific thread is missing, it may be worth asking.

Re: Loudspeaker Internal Wiring

Thanks Spannko, I'll send you a PM straight away. Currently recapped 72 and 140 are warming up. I notice an increase in height of the converted Keiligh. They sound very transparent and rhythmic, but I don't yet know to what extent the undamped room (52 square meters, ceiling height 4 meters) plays a...

Re: Loudspeaker Internal Wiring

Thank you for the info. It is not easy to buy small quantities of the LAPP ÖLFLEX® UNIPLUS TRI cable. Apparently they are only sold in India and the UK. Even ebay only wants from the UK at pretty prices and usually 100m rolls. In any case, I can't find them in Lapp shops outside the UK. Farnel doesn...

Re: Loudspeaker Internal Wiring

Thank you for sharing your experiences. Since the effort is high, I will probably test this on my own Tukans. What are "4mm² tri-rated cables"? My Tukans are equipped with Solen, the Keiligh with Dayton Audio capacitors, which I like better. I will install Dayton Audios again and thus create the opp...

Re: Hermanns System

Wow, more than 500,000 hits in three years challenge me. Not only does it reflect on the musical journey, the general conditions also play an important role in even thinking these thoughts. Almost exactly forty years ago I joined a company that was significantly involved in the development of the In...

Loudspeaker Internal Wiring

I'll soon be replacing the crossover capacitors on another pair of Tukans. Question to the group. Has anyone tried internal cabling of old guard Linn speakers to K400? Or going further, outsourcing the crossover?

Re: Sagatun and Sagatun Mono

That's the best $615.00 I have ever spent on audio... That sounds promising :) We go from 1.4 to 1.7 so it looks like big upgrade. I was not aware of it. I also have an Entity 1.0 that needs an upgrade. All I can say is that the upgrades will blow your mind. To upgrade Sagatun 1.4 to 1.7 you will h...

Re: The heart of the Domesticaone home system

Nice little setup domesticaone. It's obviously a lot of fun to listen to. The Klångedan T1 are loudspeakers that I would like to hear and I am also not familiar with the effect of the rack system. I would be very happy to see a small sample of music.

Re: iPad Mini 6 Needs Restart?

I can not confirm. So far the IPAD has run through to the bitter end a few times due to the Sagatun upgrade. A restart didn't show any improvement. However, I only use the IPAD as a control point for the Källa.

Re: Lejonklou Boazu Integrated Amp

With the Tundra Mono 3 and their permanently lit LEDs, I would go one step further and have the Sagatun LEDs also light up in the color of the set volume. Do you mean that you would prefer that the volume indicator is permanently lit? Instead of fading out 3 seconds after the last volume change, as...

Re: Lejonklou Boazu Integrated Amp

In my opinion the limitation should remain active. It was only the test with the Graham 5/5 that made me turn them off. At first I had slight problems with the volume setting (RTFM as Tom aptly mentioned), but now I appreciate it. With the Tundra Mono 3 and their permanently lit LEDs, I would go one...

Re: Hermanns System

Thanks everyone for the comments. I'll admit, I was skeptical about his advice. If my system doesn't play in the right way, my emotions don't play along either or swing to the other side when it sounds perfect. Fredrik did an excellent job, on the one hand with the upgrade, but also in responding to...

Re: Hermanns System

Thanks Tony It became clear to me while working on the LP12 many years ago and still on the speaker drivers that torque settings significantly improve the sound. But what surprises me is how subtle such a small change in torque appears. Obviously, these changes are better heard when the music system...

Re: Tony Tune-age System

Thanks Tony, they will no longer be available then. Thanks for the report Tony. In my opinion it will take a while until the Sagatun develops full quality. But your description leads to the idea that the stereo Sagatun warms up a little faster than the monos. Since two components have received an up...

After some very interesting experiences, the system works to our complete satisfaction. What happened? The upgrade came with a torque setting that left us speechless. The impressions are described above and remain. Only a tonal exaggeration in our room overshadowed the enjoyment during the warm-up p...
