SOLD! - Linn Akurate Kontrol/1 - $999
Hi everybody, I have a black Akurate Kontrol/1 (with Factory Dynamik PS) for sale if anyone is looking for a nice all analog preamp. I haven’t heard a sagatun as yet but this is probably one of the nicest sounding Linn preamplifiers that I’ve heard. Comes with the configurable MM/MC card. I don’t ha...

Re: Gaio 2.4 into Linn Kairn Aktiv Kaber system.
We use Kabers and used to have them aktiv and exakt with Akurate amps. Without sounding offensive if you want the Kabers to be more engaging, more fun is suggest getting rid of the Akurate amps. As good as they are they make the Kabers sound too thin and dry. A lejonklou tundra (even a single amp wi...

Unidisk SC as a preamp
This was being used as just a preamplifier due to the cds being mostly unrecognizable. The preamp section also supports 5.1 with toslink and spdif inputs and has a very nice sounding Dac. The cd, sacd and dvd audio section might be repairable with just a new lens but I haven’t tried that. Most Unidi...

It will be replaced with an entity soon enough. Just need to slow down on any new purchases.

I had a Linn Linto phono stage for awhile, it sounded really good and was priced nicely as well.
Enjoy!

Photo update:
To my ears the Linto sounds a bit better in the bass section although the creek audio OHB15 mk2 sounds like it has more separation. I’ll leave the Linto in the system for a few days.

Re: Recommended network components
This may have been answered before but I couldn’t find an answer with a search. The main system also has a TV with a fire stick etc and I’ve kept the electrical and network switches separate. An Apple AirPort Extreme caters to the video network connections and a gs108v2 just for audio. Is it detrime...

Re: Zee9 ..... Coming back to Linn!
A lot has changed over the last 5 years. This time the change was mainly due to 2 reasons. A. Free up some much needed cash B. After experiencing Lejonklou amplification and also due to reason above, we decided to move back to a passive setup. The source meanwhile has changed to a selekt dsm katalys...

Re: Speaker Choices for Lejonklou amplifiers…?
I thought so but thanks for confirming that. Does that mean anything below 4 ohms for minimum impedance is not a good match for Lejonklou amplifiers? Or do we have some levy (eg 3.2 ohms just to pick a number)

Re: Speaker Choices for Lejonklou amplifiers…?
I’m not sure about this so I thought it’s best to ask. Speakers usually mention a nominal Impedance and a minimum impedance. I know most Lejonklou amps are rated at 4 ohms and speakers that drop low would put more stress on the amps. Which is the number to worry about. Nominal or minimum impedance w...

Re: Which App ? (Streaming + Local)
I’m mainly a Linn streamer but am very strongly considering the kalla. I have a bunch of music that’s not on Spotify or Qobuz that I access via minimserver. & the Linn app. The music is on a HD that’s connected to a Mac mini running minim server. I’m curious how I would access the music via a kalla....

Re: Speaker Choices for Lejonklou amplifiers…?
I have not heard the 242’s with a tundr but I enjoyed them most passive with a Klout. Mine were mk 1’s. From what I was told from someone close to Linn the 3k arrays with best tolerance were kept for the Klimax and the lesser tolerance ones were passed down the models. I was also told that mk 2 are ...

Re: Speaker Choices for Lejonklou amplifiers…?
After looking at the m109 modification and it also being possible to the majik Isobarik speakers I’m going to look out for a pair.
I wonder if anyone is using these speakers with Lejonklou amplification. Id love to hear your thoughts.

Those are probably the most beautiful Miso’s I have seen and am now very tempted to buy a pair. So I have few questions for you. 1. It looks like you modified the mid range with the SEAS woofer. Right? 2. Do the bases come with those 5 pillars? 3. Could you share the details of the fabricator who ma...

How did I miss that comment of yours from earlier. I just made sure I disconnected it. I hope I haven’t damaged the amplifier by doing that. I guess i’ll know tomorrow when I hear some music. Fingers crossed. Zee, as I wrote above: You can NOT connect an Y-cable to the two line outputs of a Tundra s...

Re: How to: add a RELt5i to the tundra 2.2 Tarandus via hi-level connection
I’ve ordered these from parts express and they seem to be stackable. I’ll try them Out when they arrive on the weekend. The sub at the moment is connected via a single RCA and a y-splitter to the line outs on the tundra but I don’t feel they integrate as well. I also feel the gain has dropped a bit ...

Re: How to: add a RELt5i to the tundra 2.2 Tarandus via hi-level connection
This maybe a stupid question but can I use the line outs (daisy chain outlets) in my tundra with a Y-splitter (rca as the rel only takes one channel of rca) to send signal to my subwoofer. I’m having a brain freeze and can’t remember if that will still have volume control On the subwoofer.

Re: Speaker Choices for Lejonklou amplifiers…?
Getting a stereo sagatun is a smart idea and using a cheap dac for the TV. The bedroom uses a Schiit Modi 3+ and I can surely see how that works with the TV into an analog input. The Kalla as good as it is (I haven’t heard it yet but a dear friend can’t stop praising it) would mean a big outlay of f...

Speaker Choices for Lejonklou amplifiers…?
That day finally came where we had to pack up our trusty Akubariks and they were delivered to the buyers apt. This was a sale to free up some cash and we decided to revert back to a passive setup. Re: Lejonklou Boazu Integrated Amp
is it detrimental (sound quality)to the integrated amp to have a pre-out? i ask because Boazu 1.0 does not have it but having a preout would allow buyers to upgrade easily by adding a tundra to their Boazu via a Pre out.
