Movie Di scart to component
I have a Linn Classik Movie Di, scart version. Since I am thinking about selling the machine my question is the following, is it possible to get component out of the scart from a Di with regular "scart to component cable" or do I need a convertor box "scart to Y-U-V". There are some options in the m...

The Unidisk 1.1 was fantastic at its time, but it is like formula one car, or like an Aston Martin, meaning that is quite sensitive and lives its own life. The more recent the better. The main problem is the laser, which tends to wear out. It pays off to send the machine to Linn to change the laser ...

Linn is seeking new buyers, and they are right in doing so. It is interesting to compare with Bang & Olufsen. The Times, Monday 2, 2012 has interesting article on B&O "The budget Bang & Olufsen ... for the man without everything". Here they explain how B&O are famous for their design and pricetags. ...

Just picked-up the new "Soldier of Love" album, by Sade. The record label is by Epic and Sony Music Entertainment. Since this particular album is her newest release, there isn't an older copy to compare. But I have no complaints in terms of pace, rhythm and timing (PRAT). In addition, I picked-up a...

How often do you adjust active chakra/akurate filters?
Linn's old filters were always intersting to investigate in any set-up. However, the newer fliters are more insensitive. My question is, what is your experience with setting up active systems with chakra/akurate amps? How often have you been able to improve thing by adjusting the filters? And if, wa...

Goldring has a nice website http://www.goldring.co.uk/ where they offer various cartridge services. They promise to give you an answer i 2 days! The fact that they build Linn Klyde sounds good from the perpective of getting a Linn-sounding tune-demed cartridge back rather than an "improved" version....

Opps! Maybe Dynamik isn't such a great upgrade after all. I and my wallet is eagerly waiting further reviews. But I quite liked that immediate presentation straight out of the box, it was very impressive. I'm not 100% sure it's better now than it was then.

On my Dell6400, the differences are audible, unless you are stressed up of course. Asking the question which of these four bands can play well, and is not experimenting too much, my choice is number 1. I am, on the hand, surprised that 3 and 4 sound so bad in musical terms. On the other hand, I am n...

Another Keel alternative with Charm
The Funk Firm offers various upgrades to your L12. One is the CHARM, a sub-chassis made from a composite of carbon fibre and end-grain balsa. As I understand it, it can also be used with the Aro arm. According the firm "the CHARM provides superior performance and sound to ANY other sub-chassis avail...

I understand your problem since Kabers benefit a lot from activation and/or better amplification. The combination Naim CD and active Kabers should sound great. But, given that your Naim CD is quite old, and that the source is more important, I would listen to a DS first and make up my mind after tha...

Re: Stylus wear and lift/lower device
I just got a new stylus for my Adikt and considering how much my old one had aged in one years time (it sounded horrible), I want to take better care of this one if possible. I read in another thread that someone got more life out of his Akiva when he started to use the hydraulic lift/lower device....
