Re: The New Lejonklou Streamer
when cleaning the software from bugs and adding nice features, we found that every change affected performance. Out of curiosity, I have some questions. I can imagine that the software is complex: it must continuously interact with the network, react to events generated by the user, apply computati...

Re: ECM records start streaming via Tidal, Qobuz etc.
For instance, if you play a song from Tidal at 7 pm and then play it again at 8 pm, sound quality can be either better, worse or the same. This sounds like black magic to me. Why would they send random different files across time ? If the files are the same, they should sound the same, right ? As I...

Re: ECM records start streaming via Tidal, Qobuz etc.
Hi Matt, > BTW, did you compare Tidal and Qobuz regarding SQ? > Some say Qobuz is superior. I am very happy with the SQ of Qobuz especially with the Sublime+ option which offers to stream in HD for an ever increasing part of their catalogue. I did not compare with Tidal extensively as the catalogue ...

Re: ADSM to Kikkin
Quite possible... but currently hard to picture: ...listening to Shostakovich piano quintet by Leonskaja and the Borindin Quartet. Just wonderful. ;-) Nevertheless, being a scientist, I am always open to novelty and progress.

Re: ADSM to Kikkin
Dear all, I finally come back on this thread to report my experience with using the DVC of the RKDS/2. I used the DVC this last month and listen to a lot of music. I mainly listen to jazz and classical music (all kinds: chamber music, orchestral and vocal), but I do occasionally listen to good old r...

Re: ADSM to Kikkin
Dear all, Here is an update. When thinking again at what I did to test the DVC of the RKDS/2, I realized that the Kikkin is inverting the phase of the signal (due to an odd number of amplification stages inside) and that I did not change the speaker cable when trying the DVC. I was thus playing with...

Re: ADSM to Kikkin
Hello, I have finally bought a RKDS/2. I am using it with fixed volume output and the Kikkin2.2 as preamp together with 3x2250/D and LINN242. I am very happy with the result. The RKDS/2 is extremely musical and the Kikkin does a great job. The Kikkin does not seem to weaken the setup quite the contr...

ADSM to Kikkin
Dear all, I have currently a MDS-Kikkin2.2-3x2250D-LINN242 system. I am looking to upgrade the MDS to a ADSM/1. Beside the improved quality of the DS, one advantage of the ADSM/1 would be to be able to use a Rega P3 that I own but that I do not use for the moment because of the unique input of the K...

Re: Akurate 242MKIII in Rosenut: passiv, aktiv or Exakt, new prices
Dear Thierry,
I am interested by "1) Akurate 242 MKIII (speakers only): 2500€". Are the speaker in perfect condition ? do you have photos ? (you can send them to [email protected])
Can I pass by to see them and listen to them ?
Best regards,
JF

remote control - KIKKIN
Dear all, I am the happy user of a KIKKIN within an all active linn system. I was using a remote from my previous LINN pre-amp to command the volume level of the KIKKIN. Now the linn pre-amp (WAKONDA) is used somewhere else. When reading the manual of the KIKKIN it was mentioned that quite standard ...
