If different NAS sound different it means the DS concept is not working, ie to separate the player from the memory.

Could not the differences be explained by power supplies of the NASes? If one causes current peaks.

This is one area I will not enter again. :)

I gave myself (and my family) the treat of a brand new Akurate DS and it is fantastic. I have listened to it for about one hour through speakers and headphones and it is so much better than the Sneaky it replaced.

On the other hands there are always the sources to consider. :?
Radikal or an Akurate DS or even a Majik DS. I think the MDS would be fun.
