If different NAS sound different it means the DS concept is not working, ie to separate the player from the memory.
Could not the differences be explained by power supplies of the NASes? If one causes current peaks.
This is one area I will not enter again. :)

I admit not to have checked those figures but they were hot but cooled when played loudly. I thought class A had the implication that each nominal Watt is spent whether playing or not. But then I read ATC amps are class A up to 96 dB. Not sure exactly what that means. The 2250 is difficult to heat u...

Christian, yes I owned their smallest active 10-2 and it was fantastic but the SCM 20 SL are much more refined. I suppose the active version of my speakers are even better sounding but I don't really like their amps because they get very hot and consumes a ridiculous amount of electric power, 350 W ...

This month I have had two experiences that to me perfectly demonstrates what tunefulness is. First I went and bought new headphones for my tiny iPod shuffle, I still use the one in a metal casing with a clip and a round button. I tried three of Grado's models: SR 60, SR80 and SR325i(?) in rising ord...

I found this interesting comparison between active and passive ATC 20. http://www.gramophone.net/Issue/Page/April%201999/144/854352 I would like ATC's to run on something less energy-wasting amps of theirs or start cooking with them. :) My 2250 will not get the best out of my passives. Still they so...

Hello, I have been shuffling my ATC SCM20SL on Target stands across my wooden floor (getting scratchier) hunting for their ideal position! After reading some ATC manual I tried their recommended starting point: 1 m from side and 2 m from rear wall. The room is 4.9 x 4.8 metres which means the speake...

A couple of months ago, my dealer was resetting my LP12 after removing a Klyde and refitting an Adikt. He couldn't get my Ekos 2/Adikt to work as he expected, and used his demo Akito/Adikt to compare. It was better! He later got the Ekos working better than at first, but I'm not going to say it was...

So we have either Cara 4 or Cara 6 and then those three more version numbers? After upgrading yesterday my konfig says Cara 6 (3.6.9). Are the three numbers seprated by dots the only real version numbers? I don't understand this family talk but then I am not into programming anything. Or is Cara 4 a...
