Re: Latest records to enter your collection

Today when waiting for my wife, going to the pub for a beer and a veggie burger, I just happened to walk pass “Bengans” record store. Walked out with two E.S.T records, “Live in London” and “From Gagarin’s Point of View”. And no Radikal for another 2 weeks... You should ask for a “borrow” Sondek. Y...

Re: Cables

All i can say is that the TB S works for me with the Supra and the supplied USB to the esi using a 5V3A ps an when I by mistake used the 5V 2.5A from the RPI it did not work that well. Have not investigated it further then that.

Re: Cables

I have been using the supra USB-cable with the ESI and TBs without any issue.
The TB is really power hungry and will not work with less then 5V 3A with something that draws power from the usb.

Edit: missed a “will not” :P

Any news on progress ?
The Radikal-kit have been sent to Linn for further investigation and now vacation coming here in Sweden, so it’s some 4 weeks before anything happens in my end.

Re: Radikal speed problem

Well I guess something good with this is that my wife asked why it plays so bad and flat now.
Linn basik with 9cc and at95 chromecast audio as sources now, moving to a new place on Friday so apart from the Radikal problem most stuff are in boxes

Re: Radikal speed problem

Most likely motor or some cable error.
My Radikal have always been powered on, but the LP12 (motor) only on when playing records.

Radikal speed problem

My Radikal have all of a sudden started spinning in wrong speed.
In the middle of a song it speeded up and the red diode lit up stronger. Now after turning it off and on, done the reset it still won’t spin at correct speed and the diod don’t dim down.
Any suggestions how to fix this?

Re: SINGularity

Sounds great, but I'm afraid what my cat would do to those speakers (and vice versa), if I decided to change... The grilles are of metal. I would not feel that secure of "Kaos" not making chaos with a esl57... Used to have Magnepans and that was not good combo with cats, but on the other hand they ...

Re: How good are phono stages in vintage Linn preamps?

I think that the MM in my exotik+DA dynamik was better then the one in the Kairn (slimline brilliant) it replaced and the step from exotik to adsm was small. Step from adsm MM to slipsik 7 was big! But then again it’s hard to know how much rest of the preamp has for impact other then the phono stage...

Re: New Cartridge, riaa and Kore

Welcome Thomas! I would say that the Adikt with slipsik 7 is a no brainer! Kore is also a good upgrade for ok money (compared to keel). 2-3 years ago I had Kore and Radikal installed into my Akito 1 LP12 and I alomost regret doing it at the same time since it was a big improvement. Got the slipsik 7...

Re: Playground for practical listening exercices

Can only agree with you all about the diffence, I did a few more slipsik vs adsm and now the adsm is disconnected and up for sale. The slipsik has taken its place in the shelf, so nothing standing on top = WAF restored ;) Can’t justify keeping the adsm only as an hdmi switch for the appleTV... I’m g...
