Super, thanks Mattias.
They are conveniently located for me, now added to my to-do list.
Have a nice day.

Thx Matthias, I will investigate further (their location is not on their website).
They focus on headphones, it's been quite a long time since I have used Stax all sorts.
Nostalgia?

Re: Booplinth
Thank you Frederik for your feedback.
Food for thought.
And I need to find how to get access to your product(s).
At the moment I am located in the Paris area.
Cheers.

Re: Booplinth
Indeed Tony!
Thx for your advice, David.
In my configuration I can't tell to what extent the new Radikal 2 board also improves Urika.
Is there any plan for an Entity version powered by a Linn Radikal box (connected like Urika)?
Save the planet, you know...

Re: Booplinth
Hi, Klimax Radikal 2 has now replaced Klimax Radikal 1 in my main (Booplinth'ed, Trampolin'ed, Keel'ed and Karousel'ed) LP12-Urika with breathtaking results. I was a bit sceptical but found that it is not just a "£2k bug fix". It is a major musical upgrade which is worth listening to. IMHO, well don...

Re: Linn Unidisk SC
Dear Keybas, After all my attempts with lasers ordered in China and your contribution I was about to give up. For some reason I made a recent search and found a supplier in Germany via eBay. Because Unidisc SC was specifically mentionned, I gave it a go. I ordered a laser pick-up with a special ship...

Re: Linn Unidisk SC
Today I spent time on my USC. In fact adjusting laser power is easy. Remove the lid. Open the tray and remove the power cord to be safe. With the tray open you can see those two screws. First mark the screws with a felt pen. With a vey small (1.5) and short flat screwdriver you can easily adjust the...

Re: LP12 Radikal problem
Thank you Dasher and ThomasOK, you helped me save £288.59 worth of Jig! If I may attempt an analogy, the LP12 is a racing-car and with the Jig you tune it to perfection. Once on the road, it is the tyres which will make the difference. Linn's 'tyres' are limited to its standard and Trampolin feet. M...

Re: Linn Unidisk SC
My apologies, I didn't have time to progress much on this. If, like Springwood64, you find someone able to fix your USC for £120, great, go for it! A specialist will also check other components, something I can't do. According to my former Linn dealer, the whole Unidisc range uses a Sony KSS230A las...

Re: LP12 Radikal problem
Thank you ThomasOK, your post brought me back to when I was much younger! Your baseboard change-over-time section provides more food for thought and ends up with "(...) no baseboard". Unfortunately, it is not an option for me. My main system needs a baseboard because I use Urika. Urika is a brillian...

Re: LP12 Radikal problem
David, no need to remove the Trampolin feet to try the old feet. As an experiment you could do as I did. My favourite shelf with Trampolin was thin and rigid and inexpensive. I made four holes in a second, similar shelf to allow the Trampolin feet to hang freely (Urika base board requires an additio...

Re: LP12 Radikal problem
Defender, it all depends! On Linn's website; "The Solid Base provides a fixed, rigid platform for your deck (...) If your turntable is placed on a cabinet or shelf that provides its own isolation from vibrations, then this is the perfect base board for you. Alternatively, choose the Trampolin base b...

Re: LP12 Radikal problem
Yes, what you have seen is correct, the slightly blunt spikes are exactly where the original small feet would go.
They are in contact with the plinth only, not the Trampolin (still in place as my LP12 is fitted with Urika-1).
With Karousel the benefits are even more obvious.

Re: LP12 Radikal problem
Radikal was launched in 2009. Lejonklou highlighted the LP12 Radikal issue in April 2018. How was it during these 9 years for early adopters of the Linn DC motor kit like me? Early on, like Charlie1, I experienced the “one piano note” disappointment compared with my other AC motored deck. And soon I...
Re: Booplinth
Delighted to see that David, Spannko and Sunbeamgls will soon have a jab session together! Today I used my Oppo 105D (switched on Pure Stereo Audio) as a reference to evaluate how LPs on LP12/Booplinth/Karousel behave with bass instruments compared to CDs and SACDs. Through a pair of analog AKTIV KL...

Re: Linn Unidisk SC
Hi Allan, No I can't tell for sure as there is no indication on the circuitery board (plus I couldn't remove the glued label, see photos below). This said: 1) See how small the adjustment screws are compared to a CD and the antistatic warning on the boxes here https://www.dropbox.com/s/vo9gnb9fkpwz7...

Re: Linn Unidisk SC
Hello Allan, Please note that I was not too successful with my attempt(s). OK I had some sort of result and didn't break anything but still my USC can't read DVDs or SACDs. Actually it seems to behave exactly the same as yours. This said, if you follow the link provided by Dasher you will see how th...

Very kind of you, thanks again Dasher I will check both leads.
Btw my USC is with HDMI too. And Dynamic was a significant improvement.

Re: Booplinth
Very enjoyable to read your comments! Thank you, some of them already make me think "out of the plinth"! Indeed I am happy with Booplinth but it is not my job to promote it. Let's put it this way; With Karousel, Linn improved Cirkus and so demonstrated that the LP12 could be better than "simply bett...

Re: Linn Unidisk SC
Hi Dasher, thanks for your prompt reply. I am very happy that your Unisidk SC is still working fine. Mine is not and I must try to understand why. I read somewhere that there were three versions of CD12. Externally exactly the same, serial number only would indicate if resolution was 16, 17 I think ...

Re: Linn Unidisk SC
Dear Dasher, As you know Linn stopped supporting silver disk products years ago (with the exception of CD12). Not a pleasant news when my Unidisk SC wouldn't read DVDs and SACDs anymore. It had previously been serviced twice (unusual for a Linn product) by my Linn dealer with laser replacement. But ...
Re: Booplinth
Discussion about the pros and cons of Booplinth stopped shorly after ThomasOK's review in 2016. It was before 1) the " LP12 Radikal problem " in 2018. 2) Linn's release of the Karousel bearing replacement kit in 2020. Time for an update, isn't it? How relevant is Booplinth today? A member of the Lej...
