Re: Playground for practical listening exercises

Yes, always best to live in the here and now. Seriously I find the Now recording gives me back the bass quality and quantity I felt was somewhat missing compared to the JBLs in your other clips. This is very good! Thank you Thomas, and all others who has listned and commented. Interesting to see th...

The monos is certainly treating your 212:s well, I never experienced that kind of control when I owned my 212:s.
Sounds good!

Re: Playground for practical listening exercises

Of all the speakers you have had (own) which do you prefer to listen to with your system? Klångedang T1 is the best speaker I have had at home, clearly better than the Akurate 212 they replaced. I stumbled over the JBL 308:S and I tought it would be fun to try, based on what I have read here and ho...

Re: Playground for practical listening exercises

The stands are Linn Katan stands. I tried various positions from 6-20 cm from backwall and found 11cm to work best. I have not yet tried different positions further apart. I still have some things to try about powercables (disconnect ground). I also got a pair of m109 stands to try.

Re: Playground for practical listening exercises

Prefer clang-a-dang-a-ding-dongs but maybe that room is a bit big for them They acually fill the room quite well. The JBLs have more punch in the low end but something sounds not right about it compared to the Klångadangs, which I find more musical overall. It is easy to like the low end, but I als...

markiteight wrote: 2023-04-25 21:09 What's your current source?
I use a Hakai and a decent LP12 (Karusell, A Radikal, Keel, Ekos 2, Adikt, Slipsik 8).

I found a pair of JBL 308p so I might give them a try.

Tundra+Klångedang vs JBL 308p

Hi! What do you guys think about exchange Tundra stereo 2.5 and Klångedang for a pair of JBL 308p and keep my Sagatun as preamp? I'm starting to think about a Källa, and selling my Tundra and Klångedang would free up some money. But will JBL speakers be better or worse than current setup? /Kallesprätt

Re: Playground for practical listening exercises

That’s an excellent upgrade kallesprätt! The Klaångedang’s are so much more melodic, you and your family are going to have a very merry Christmas indeed, that’s for sure! PS What’s your system? Thank you! Akurate 212 is a good speaker, Klångedang is simply better. I use an LP12(Karousel, Radikal, K...

Akurate 212 vs Klångedang T1 Akurate 212: https://www.dropbox.com/s/wpnw2qvsamrdjkf/VID_20211007_170201.mp4?dl=0 Klångedang: https://www.dropbox.com/s/mguvwatevo7xrzh/VID_20211214_102456.mp4?dl=0 I still have to work on the placement for the Klångedang T1, I just did a quick adjustment for the test.

Re: Playground for practical listening exercises

It might be so, I haven't clocked the platter with the new inner platter yet.
I also need to compare the different sides and directions one the new belt vs the old belt.

Even though there's more to be done I already enjoying it more than with the Cirkus bearing.

Re: Playground for practical listening exercises

The level of the turntable in the jig vs. the level of the turntable on the wall shelf with the Trampolin installed is likely not the same. I carefully set plinth level in the jig and the wallshelf has spikes so it is adjusted so that the plinth is level. Something else is wrong, i suspect that the...

Do you feel the recording properly reflects what you hear & feel in the room?
There is more to it in room, but the recording pretty much sums up what I hear.

Thank you all for your response and sorry for the late reply. I think they are close but i prefer T: H: Is Hakai and T: is a little experiment i'm working on, so i guess there will be more clips to follow... T vs H, better or worse?
