I think too many adjustments create paranoia, you have a good session and are convinced setting are perfect. Then you are stressed or bad mains and the system no longer sings......reflex reaction adjust settings.
Good old passive systems!

Must admit I have normally found default settings work best.

I think the old keltik momo bass cards were in 1dB steps.

The only cards I had to adjust were kabers usually needing more bass and less treble.

There are only 1dB steps half way will not work.

There will be no damage. It would make far more sense to save your money, you would forget the differences within weeks.

tri amp wont improve as much as kk1, in fact somewhere else on this forum several people including myself, dont regard tri amp as an improvement.

As I do not regard 2200 passive to 5100 aktiv to be a big improvement I would go for kk1.

I think the hi fi would look better in the corner. A cabinet between the speakers is a fair compromise, try to keep some space between spk and cabinet, and not too high.
Get an urika and bingo much neater!
