Thanks a lot Fredrik! I suspected that was the reason for the flashing light when muted, maybe it's best that way. And regarding the hole, I don't want to mess up the design of course! I think I'll buy one of these instead (RF remote extender) , then I don't even have to bother pointing in the direc...

I've had my Kikkin for a few weeks now (replacing the preamp in an SC) and I am also extremely happy with the sound quality of it! However, I have two things that I'm not so happy about. The first is the flashing colour lamp that indicates that the preamp is muted. I always mute my preamp when I'm n...

Secondly I would like the Forums opinion to the following idea; what do you folks think of connecting the Kikkin and SC both to my C4100, and use my harmony remote to swich between the two depending on the source? I'm not sure how you mean that you would connect. However, isn't it better to connect...

Interesting. Somebody should try using two Kikkins (and Slipsiks and Kinkis) and see how much better it gets.

*SOLD* Headphones Grado SR-60

Edit: *SOLD* within a few hours. Didn't think the price was that attractive :) A pair of Grado SR-60 headphones in very good condition. Good in tune dem terms, but also very nice sound and deep bass. Comfortable. Bought in 2006, but have not been used for one and a half years (replaced with other h...

Not much time but:

Kikkin beats Majik Kontrol (and the internal preamp of Majik DS).

Kikkin about on a par with Akurate Kontrol (differing opinions, and the Kikkin unit had not been optimised by Fredrik).

I have decided not to say anything about this until the production Kikkins arrive. The first musical evening will be at Tonlaget in Gotheburg on the 27th of November.
I'll be there! It's going to be fun to listen and to see you again!

Ok, now that the Sneaky DS is out for 13k SEK, and everybody says it's great, the competition is obviously tougher for a Lejonklou DS. Now something like 3-5k SEK and somewhere between Squeezebox and Sneaky DS in performance would be interesting. Probably hard to do?

Two and a half. SC, LP12 and sometimes computer.

Why do you ask?

Subs can in my experience not compete with big floorstanders when it comes to SLAM. Don't ask me why though.

The problem with using tune dem on such a test, is that you will actually judge two different performances, even if the musicians of course will do their best two make them as equal as possible. I'm no musician, but it seems to me that the ability of musicians to communicate differs from time to time.

Listening to the re-release of the Michael Jackson Thriller album. It contains remixes of five of the orginal songs and I actually think it's pretty well done. (Probably helps to like the originals to begin with.) will.i.am, Akon, Fergie and Kanye West are singing. But Michael's voice is the best of...

Now I've installed it. I really didn't like the idea of drilling in my Keltiks, but it went fine. It sounds very good, but besides changing the midrange I also changed the tweeters and had the system tweaked by my dealer (speaker position, filters). So I guess I can't really say if the new midrange ...

Denver MCA-54

Anyone knows where to find the very cheap and good Denver MCA-54 (see this thread for more info)? I'm looking for a cheap system for a friend, but the unit isn't sold in Sweden anymore, and I couldn't find it on Ebay either (looked on US, German, British and Swedish Ebay). It's also been marketed un...

Huh? Is there a normal turn per length unit for the K400?
