I have received one but not installed it yet. It will be hard for me to give any impression regarding if it's an improvement, because I will replace the tweeters at the same time, and have my dealer over for system trimming. What I can tell you though, is that you need to drill in your Keltiks to mo...

Re: Aktiv cards out of the amps

The adapter cards that makes the new cards useable in older amps houses the voltage regulation part, and to prevent the over/under-voltage problem, some resistors in the old amp need to be replaced. Is this always the case? I have not yet installed my Chakra aktiv cards in my LK100, but I've read t...

I don't know. Of course it's a matter of taste, quite simply it's a bit like the Naim side of Linn. I like it right now. My setup is not bad in tunedem with the Kans. But the Unik is clearly better than the Kans in that respect. I was thinking more in terms of that you might be able to get used to ...

I can't really explain but I think newer Linn speakers does this differently (better tunedem) but something is lacking. Can't it also be a matter of personal taste? Having lived with Keilidh and Keltik for some years, I would probably not like the character in the presentation of the early Kan (whi...

How about a Lejonklou version of Squeezebox (or DS if you will) for 10k SEK that outperforms (or is as good as) an Ikemi? I know that you don't like the idea of looking at your music collection through a display, but I think that would be a killer product. I know I would buy one! (10k SEK is about 1...

Fredrik: If I take the time to order I will! (Though I want to check if it's availible inside the EU first, you can be forced to pay customs and handling fees when ordering from the US. It's the fee that is the expensive thing when ordering for such small amounts.)

The big difference here is that the while the CD12 reads the data and converts it to analogue at the same time , the cheap CD-ROM drive can read the disc at any speed and how many times it feels necessary, before the data is stored. The conversion to analogue is not synchronized with this task, so ...

Is Sweden a huge market for Linn? I would guess it's far from. But, Sweden has for a long time (more than twenty years) had very dedicated dealers (and importer, but that was more than ten years ago). My dealer (Tonläget) for example, shares the Linn philosophy on how hifi should be evaluated, and ...

Thank you for your reply! I will eventually hire an electrician to do the actual work (I think it would be illegal not to, at least here in Sweden). instead of the installation being a "ring" ie returning to the fusebox, its just a length which doesnt return That is good, better than a ring. Could you explain this in a little more detail, you mean you only have one cable running from the fusebox? I thought you always needed (at least) two ("fas...
