Or, a random Linn owner with good programming skills could programme her or his own firmware for any old Linn speaker :)

Wonderful story Fredrik! Though I probably won't buy one (would need at least three of them and a tunebox for my Keltiks) I can't wait to hear it!

A real party amp! Poor neighbors. "I'm sorry, but I have to play this loud due to the design of my amplifier." :-D

My guess is that even new records will have gathered dust, both at the factory and as sooon as you take them out of the sleeve.

I am curious to know how long it takes to clean each side of a record?

Sounds really interesting. I'm thinking one should by one of those machines, maybe share it with a few people to reduce investment cost.

My dealer (Anders at Tonläget) suggested that it could be one of the active cards in the amp causing my problem. So I figured I will just disconnect them and see if the problem disappears. A very late update on my problem with my 5105 making a very large "thump" when going into standby. As my deale...

Splitting K400/600

Split from the thread "Budget Setup - Advice needed" /Az what about buying k400 and strip it on the long way (and call it k200 ;) ) Yes, that's better than K20. But do watch out for the odd K400 that have a crack in between the two pairs. Those can't be stripped into two K200, because they will fal...

Do you listen to the 320 stream or the freebie in Spoty? I listen to the free stream with lesser quality. I'm using it via the internet radio bridge that you mention, so the quality is not so good and I rarely use it. If or when it starts working directly through the Kinsky interface I will conside...

I don't know if you have a Linn DS, but it seems that Spotify support is going to work soon. You can drag and drop Spotify songs in the Kinsky Desktop, but the songs don't play yet, at least not for me.

And sound quality really comes first (or rather; second, after safety). Yes, but what most costumers care about is performance and price , and their relation. By sharing box and power supply, the volume control would maybe be slighter worse than a Kikkin, and the phono amp slightly worse than a Sli...

Modular pre-amp / integrated amp

An idea when you've produced a source selector you're satisfied with: With a bigger enclosure you could maybe produce a modular amp where the costumer could choose between e.g. these modules: * Volume control * Power amp * Source selector * Phono stage * Software control of volume through Linn GUI /...

Fredrik, are you working on a source selector of some kind? Or a preamp with more than one input? I'm getting a little tired on changing cables.

Have you found anything out regarding the 5105, Broccoli? Yes. The safety recall has been made, there's a white sticker at the bottom of the amp indicating this. (Though it hasn't been sent back to Linn, so it must have been done by a dealer.) My dealer (Anders at Tonläget) suggested that it could ...

So, when you're done constructing a power amp, source selector, a DS and a speaker you can release:

The Lejonklou All-In-One! An active speaker where the customer can add expansion cards with: volume control, source selector, DS, and RIAA.

I would by one :)

Maybe we should move these posts to a thread of its own? It is only one of the channels that have such a loud thump. The thump is loud only when going into standby, not when going out of it, and the bass unit is definitly moving visibly. I have emailed Linn to make certain the safety recall has been...
