Does this mean that the Exakt tunebox can output a passive unfiltered signal to the speaker, or am I missing something here?

(A bit strange that Linn didn't respond to your question over at their forum, but great that you got a response anyway)

On the Linn oss site http://oss.linn.co.uk/trac/wiki/DownloadKonfig They have posted Konfig in beta, 4.10.3 This has new looks similar to songbox. I can't find anywhere in this version of konfig where to update to old betas (locally stored). It only seems possible to update over the internet to the ...

I finally upgraded the Mimer shelf on my demo Harmonihylla, from 2.3 to the new 3.1 that was released last year. The upgrade consists of changing the thin birch plane below the aluminium, to a thin spruce shelf. And at the same time, removing all the small parts of damping in between. Thanks for th...

I tried that! Are the screws supposed to be of different sizes? Maybe it is easier to tell in real life or when you know what to look for.
Any pointers would be appreciated! :-)

How can you visually tell them apart? To me they look the same.

Those "free upgrades" are so nice! Actually I did also check for the best output this weekend - on my ADS. It took 3-4 seconds in an AAB test to find out wich one was the better. And of course I had been using the worst performing output for two years! It was a really nice improvement in my case, li...

Did you unplug your nas during the test, or leave it as is and adding the iphone? Yes, a wireless ds network would be an interesting test. Although it feels unstable. I bought a separate wap for my network (one of the recommended wap's on linn docs) but it acts just as unstable as any router, with s...

I will try this later for sure. One thought, could the improved performance be related to the fact that the iphone is connected wireless and not poluting the network like wired devices possibly can?

So the in this case, the bigger the speaker is, the worse the sound gets. As in other cases (Katan-Ninka, 212-242, 320-350). It is almost as if it was a general rule, the smaller the better... "More simple" design maybe? And the miso's cost many times the price of the 109's. Although they may have o...

Music Lover, thank you very much for the write up! Very interesting to read.

One question (stupid maybe...), but with this sentence: "Majik; 109 > 140 > Isobarik" - do you mean that the 109's are best and the Miso's are worst among the three?

Thank you again.

The deal breaker for me is that the source is probably of worse quality than its pure ds equivalent. It's better then to get the best source possible, then if good sound for movies is important either use a htpc with songcaster or an old ak or exotik da for that. But I am mainly a music lover, movie...

Why not using a media system and/or application that send the information directly to the player using TCP/IP? Yes that would be nice! Isn't that what songcast should be supposed to do? Even though in that case it is up to other companies, those that are manufacturing streamers and such, to incorpo...

A new Linn remote seem to be in the works. With direct selection for playlist/radio/songcast for the DS:s. It seems nice, more simplistic than the current one! Also, I do as a couple of the previous posters, and use an old Kairn remote! It is great. A nice layout of the buttons. I really hope the ne...

You can have a media center such as tvix, popcorn hour, wdlive etc etc and get good sound via hdmi to the ds. So it is not that old school! Even though it is stored locally instead of in the cloud. A good idea of linn to make possible to use any media streamer you choose into the dsm. If I understan...

Erik and ThomasOK, thank you for your comments on the WD NAS!
Is it noisy, or can you have it in the living room beside the hifi?
(I currently have a Qnap 109 (1 disc) this way, and as it is without fans it works alright like this.)

This is great news. Thanks for the heads up. How large are the SSDs? Personally I would like a 2TB, do they even exist yet? I don't dare to even think what those would cost... But in a few years maybe?
